About Hosts

Secret Cove Retreat is a private, non-commercial cottage hosted by a couple whose lives are deeply rooted in Eastern philosophy, cultural exchange, and the spirit of the global village. As a musician and violinist (husband) and an IT expert and fellow violin player (wife), they have traveled and worked in many countries before finally settling along the beautiful Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia. Once they journeyed out to see the world—now they open their doors to welcome the world in.

The vision of transforming their cherished home into a warm and restorative wellness retreat grew from their love of nature, their life experiences, and their desire to share insights into balance, peace, and mindful living.

Your hostess has practiced Chinese Kung Fu and Taiji since childhood and brings with her years of professional meditation experience—skills that have guided her both in life and career. She is also passionate about cuisine, particularly the artistry of Chinese Kung Fu tea. Through teaching and sharing, she hopes to introduce guests to these timeless practices and cultural treasures from her heritage.
